My name is Alison Poindexter. I was raised and have lived in the High Desert for 32 years.

I love our desert and am truly proud to call it home! I currently reside in Victorville with my fiance, Shawn, one-year-old son, Elliot, and our two cats Nabi (4) and Lillian (11).

This school year is my first, and I am truly excited to learn and grow as a teacher at Newberry Springs Elementary School! I am a resident teacher and co-teacher of the 4th Grade with Mrs. Sandridge. I am currently studying in a master’s program full-time while also having the honor of teaching your awesome students. Most of my prior teaching experiences have been one-on-one and group tutoring/training, which ranges in all elementary subject areas/grade levels, and includes college level in writing, English, and Algebra.

When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking, baking, film photography, going to the beach, hiking, art history, and enjoying a cup of coffee (preferably iced) with a good book.
