Greetings! My name is Mary Jane Caboteja. I have two adult children and four grandchildren. I love spending time with my family, vegetable gardening, and traveling.
I have been working at Silver Valley Unified School District for 15 years and have been instructing students of all ages in the district. I worked as a Special Education Teacher at Yermo Elementary School for 7 years and worked as Speech and Language Specialist district wide for 5 years. This is my fourth year working full time here at Newberry Springs Elementary School as Response to Intervention (RTI) Teacher.
The diverse work experiences in the field of education guide me to provide appropriate instructions and intensive interventions. In my class, the students are provided an adaptive reading intervention program designed for struggling readers. The program provides blended learning instruction, using computer based reading programs and direct instruction to help students improve academic progress, boost confidence, and succeed in the classroom.
